The Galitz Journal for friends and family
Got a new toy. Found a cello on craigslist for $200 and decided it would be fun to learn over the summer. The woman selling it was from Turkey and her husband just got a job in Oregon and she didn’t want to drag it all the way there. Her daughter had been renting a cello during middle school and been studying for over three years so … she thought it was safe to buy her daughter a real cello for high school. But you know how kids are… So the cello had been sitting in their closet for two years. Checked the brand on the internet…new it would cost $1000. The cello is rated for study up to 9th grade or amateur so its just right for me.
