Market Day, Tres Rios, CR

Yesterday, Earl wanted to see the Gold Museum in downtown San Jose. The museum had a temporary exhibit on birds so we all got to dress up as Indian chieftains. Even though it was Friday, the streets were crowded with buskers, parades, clowns and other holiday characters.

Almost every street corner had a lottery ticket seller.

Today, we went to the local open air market. Mike bought pounds of vegetables for our trip next week to his cabin in southern CR. We had a lunch of seafood soup and cerviche. Since it is about 20 minutes to walk to town from Mike’s house, Earl is getting plenty of exercise.

The market was about six blocks long.

This fruit was very juicy and tasted like a very mild carambola.

Earl really liked the juicer.
